Seventh Carnival of Educators, Lost in time

Welcome to the December 8, 2009 edition of carnival of educators.  As today is December 9th, it is clear that I have lost track of time. 

It is so easy to lose track of time when you are homeschooling as it is so easy to go off of a Monday through Friday Schedule.  I find myself constantly asking my worker-bee husband what day it is, because when you are living and learning, it really doesn't matter... unless you miss a due date like I did with a carnival.  But if I had some volunteers for hosts (hint, hint) it would be less likely to happen. 

And so I present to you the Seventh Carnival of Educators, Lost in time edition. There's no rhyme or reason to order, or time space continuum in this blog post but it's all good reading so enjoy!

Sixth Edition of Carnival of Educators, Carnival Love

Welcome to the December 1, 2009 edition of carnival of educators. This is the 6th edition, and I have to admit to still trying to be able to get the ball rolling. With that I think it is time to reset some rules. If you are going to submit an entry to the carnival, you also need to promote the carnival on your blog or all of our work is in vain. If you continue to submit posts, but never promote the carnival, you will not be included in future carnivals. On a more fun front... we are still looking for volunteers to host carnivals. To date, I only have two volunteers. So, Let's spread some carnival love.

~Parents are the first teachers and thanks to homeschooling, they can also be the main teacher.  For that reason, I would like to spread some parent love:

Carnival of Educators, 5th Edition, Better Late Than Never

Is it Tuesday? Wow! That fact totally got by me. This week we are off schedule having just finished a run of Pride and Prejudice. The kids only had Chorus and my daughter had a drama workshop today. So I lost track of time. Hence the name of this carnival edition... better late than never!

Carnival of Educators, A Week of Firsts

Welcome to the October 27, 2009 edition of Carnival of Educators.


The absence of the Carnival of Education left a hole in my life.  I didn't know about Educarnival v2 but that one is silent right now too.  Anyway, I decided it was time to get another carnival going.  I am however looking for volunteer hosts.  I can't do it alone.   More info here.  I should also point out that I did not include posts that were not done by educators, hence the name, Carnival of Educators.  That can include teachers, college professors, homeschooling parents, school administrators, and tutors, and a select few others dedicated to education.  I am trying to make this a junk-free carnival.

Let's get a new Education Carnival Going!

I was flabbergasted to find that the Carnival of Education was discontinued. While I greatly enjoy the carnival of education, I learned alot from school teachers and other educators. So, I decided to start a Carnival of Educators.

I will start the first post next Tuesday at noon. If you want to host a carnival please email me at ahermitt@ gmail.com.

I will update this page as I get all of the rules and submission guidelines together, but for now, lets keep it simple:

1. Submit original posts from your blog
2. Posts MUST BE education related, and true blogs, not commercial websites.
3. Submit by Sunday at midnight eastern standard time to get in by Tuesday at noon.
4. Submit through the carnival link http://blogcarnival.com/bc/cprof_8594.html , not by direct email.... it makes our work eaiser.
