Good, concise article. One thing I would add is to give your kids opportunities to volunteer with people of all ages. My kids got to be friends with many of the adults at our church by participating in service activities. Now, as young adults, they get along with older adults as well as other young people.

Thank you Barbara... sometimes you forget to add items that are second nature... it is so hard to separate homeschooling from real life.
